For me, sushi is one of life's simple yet amazing pleasures.
My personal favourite is Salmon nigiri with soy, wasabi and ginger of course. Can never get enough!

I wouldn't say emotional. It's more about people's sense of self-worth and identity. When an idea comes along that challenges you as you percieve yourself some will react in hostile way.
when there are hundreds of thousands of toys in the market, why buy your child the magical toy?..
.
But Jehovah is magical.

Because when people create a strong association between their religious beliefs and their own identity, atheism invalidates who they are.
police inquiry over jehovah's witness magazine 'mentally diseased' articlehttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/religion/8791196/police-inquiry-over-jehovahs-witness-magazine-mentally-diseased-article.html.
telegraph.co.uk</form>sunday 24 june 2012. homenewsworldsportfinancecommentblogsculturetravellifefashiontechdatingoffersjobspoliticsobitseducationearthsciencedefencehealthscotlandroyalcelebritiesweirdhomenewsreligionpolice inquiry over jehovah's witness magazine 'mentally diseased' articlean official magazine for jehovah's witnesses that described those who leave the church as "mentally diseased" is at the centre of a police inquiry, it has emerged.the watchtower is the official magazine of jehovah's witnesses photo: alamy9:58am bst 27 sep 2011. detectives are investigating whether the article, published in julys edition of the watchtower, is in breach of britains religious hatred laws.. the article, published in the magazine which is distributed by jehovah's witnesses across the globe, reportedly warned followers to avoid "false teachers" which it condemned as being "mentally diseased".. "suppose that a doctor told you to avoid contact with someone who is infected with a contagious, deadly disease," part of the article stated.. "you would know what the doctor means, and you would strictly heed his warning.
well, apostates are 'mentally diseased', and they seek to infect others with their disloyal teachings.".
This is an excellent example of the watchtower's mastery of deception and demonstrates why they are actually a cult.
Their amazing ability to portray a state of affairs to the outside world which is a long way off from reality within the organization is indicative of how entrenched this two-faced culture within the watchtower is.
It's actually the organization that decides to announce a member's change of status to "dis-fellowshiped" and not "a personal matter for each individual to decide for himself" which is an outright lie.

i got a text from my mom when i got into work today saying that a brother i've known for a while had died.
he was a bethelite and they found him dead in his room.
he was the same age as me.
hi MrFreeze,
What age bracket are we talking here? And which Bethel is this?
Thanks
DK
Oh great work! This thread had me cracking up :D
march 26, 2012. news item:.
jehovah's witnesses to reduce pages in watchtower & awake!
magazines.
I get a really strong feeling that this is the beginning of the end for the Watchtower.

Don't give him ideas!!
since 1935, the watchtower had been categorically teaching (for over 6 decades) that the heavenly calling of the 144,000 anointed christians had ceased in 1935. this teaching was especially significant to older jws (especially those who spent much of their lives serving the watchtower as pioneers, elders, missionaries, bethelites, etc.
) because many of these would eventually turn their attention to the aging governing body members and feel a sense of relief knowing that the end was drawing ever so near.
in other words, as more governing body members (who were born before 1935) passed away, the closer they would get to their long-awaited reward of surviving armageddon and living on paradise earth where they would finally hug grass-eating lions near a waterfall while marveling at snow-peaked mountains in the distance.
Kinda reminds me of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory... :-)
